Students of the 11th standard of schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will not read chapters like federal structure, citizenship, nationalism, and secularism. Actually, CBSE has removed these lessons from the syllabus. These chapters will not be in the syllabus due to Corona infection.
At the same time, topics like GST, changing nature of the Indian economy, NITI Aayog will not be taught in the 12th standard syllabus. It is notable that the board has reduced the syllabus by thirty percent for the academic session 2020-21. Due to this, some topics have been removed from various subjects.
The board has also removed topics such as democratic rights, food security, federalism, citizenship, and absolutism for a year while reducing curriculum. Similarly in the 12th-grade political science curriculum, security, environment, social, and new social movements in India, relationship with neighboring countries of India have been removed in the contemporary world.
At the same time, the democratic rights and the structure of the Indian Constitution have been removed from the political science topic of class 9. For one year in class X, students will not study democracy and diversity, caste, religion and gender, and democracy.
It is noteworthy that the board has reduced the curriculum from 9th to 12th by thirty percent to reduce the loss of studies. It has already been said from the board that all the important points have been kept in the syllabus so that there is no loss of students. The board has also started protesting about the chapter being removed in the course.
