Gangster Anwar Thakur, connection to underworld Don Dawood Arrested

Anwar Thakur and his brother Ashraf Thakur also have connections with underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim and gangster Bablu Srivastava. Anwar Thakur has been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in Delhi’s Sadar Bazar case.

Crime Branch of Delhi Police has succeeded in arresting gangster Anwar Thakur. He has been convicted in a murder case and was out on parole. Brazilian 9MM pistol and live cartridges have been recovered from him. Gangster Anwar Thakur hails from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Currently, he was living in Pandav Nagar, Mayur Vihar, Delhi.

Anwar Thakur and his brother Ashraf Thakur also have connections with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and gangster Bablu Srivastava. On 10 July 2020, Delhi Police received intelligence about the presence of gangster Anwar Thakur in North East Delhi.

After this, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police laid a trap and arrested 47-year-old Anwar Thakur. The murder convict Anwar Thakur was engaged in reinvigorating the Chennai wrestler gang for the gang war. The Chennai wrestlers are currently lodged in Tihar Jail.

Gangster Anwar Thakur has 6 brothers, four sisters, and a mother in his family. Anwar Thakur has been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in Delhi’s Sadar Bazar case. He shot and killed the police informer inside the Sadar Bazar police station. Before this, he has been involved in many criminal activities in Meerut and Delhi.

Gangster Anwar Thakur came out of jail on 17 March 2020 on parole and was living in North East Delhi to strengthen the Chennai Wrestler Gang. Ashraf, the younger brother of gangster Anwar Thakur, was also the dreaded criminal who was killed in an encounter by the Mumbai police in 2002.
