During the Corona period, the Delhi government has taken a major decision. The Kejriwal cabinet has approved the doorstep delivery Ration Scheme. This scheme has been named as the Chief Minister’s house-to-house ration scheme.
During the Corona period, the Delhi government has taken a major decision. In the cabinet meeting of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, it has been decided to start the ‘Chief Minister Ghar-Ghar Ration Scheme’. On implementation of this scheme, the ration will be sent to the door-to-door to Delhiites. That means now people will not have to go to the ration shop.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal informed about this decision in a digital press conference. He told that every government in the entire country along with the central government distributes ration to the poor people of their state.
Ever since the ration distribution began in the country, poor people are facing a lot of difficulty in getting ration. Sometimes you get a closed shop, sometimes you get adulteration, sometimes you make more money.
Kejriwal said that in the last 5 years we have made many improvements in the system of rationing. The decisions our cabinet has taken today are nothing short of a revolutionary decision. Today we have approved the scheme of doorstep delivery of ration in Delhi.
Kejriwal told that under this scheme, people will no longer have to come to the ration shop, but the ration will be transported in people’s homes with respect. Wheat will be picked from the FCI warehouse, the flour will be crushed, rice and sugar, etc. will also be packed and people will be transported from door to door.
People will be given the option
CM Arvind Kejriwal said that people will be given the option that whoever wants to go to the shop and get ration can go to the shop and if they want home delivery, then they can use the option. He told that the home delivery ration will start in the next 6 to 7 months.
Home delivery will be given flour instead of wheat. Kejriwal also told that the Central Government’s One Nation One Ration Card scheme will also be implemented the same day the home delivery of ration will start in Delhi.
‘We used to provide ration to the poor’
Giving information about this decision, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also mentioned the era when he was not in politics. CM Kejriwal said, “It is a great pleasure for me personally because before joining politics, Manish Sisodia and I used to run an organization called Parivartan.”
Used to work with poor people inside the slums of Delhi. Used to work for the rights of the poor. When they did not get ration, they used to work to get ration for them. We used the Right to Information Act to get ration to the people.
In those days the ration of people used to be stolen and the full ration was not available. There was an entry in government papers that we gave ration to everyone and everyone used to get fake thumbs. Kejriwal said that the decision taken by the Delhi government today is a revolutionary step to provide ration to the poor’s home.
