Police have arrested four people smuggling Ganja under the guise of brinjal in Nand Nagri, North East Delhi. Police have seized 40 kg of cannabis from the accused whose minimum worth was around four lakh rupees. Police are investigating the case by interrogating the arrested accused Afroz, Abrar, Amit, and Rinku.
DCP Ved Prakash Surya told that the police got information that the smugglers are going to Delhi with the ganja from Aligarh. The investigation was initiated by forming a team under the leadership of SP Nand Nagri Sandeep Gupta.
Freight Tempo coming from Nathu Colony towards Nand Nagri was stopped for investigation. In which three people were sitting in front, while one was sitting behind. Apart from this, eggplant was loaded on the back.
When asked about the brinjal, he could not give a satisfactory answer. When the police team opened the brinjal bags, five bags of hemp was loaded in eight bags. The police immediately arrested everyone.
During interrogation, the accused revealed that Amit and Rinku smuggled Weed, while Afroz and Abrar arranged for smuggling. Ganja was being taken to Amit’s uncle who lived in Kalander Colony. The police are also looking for him.
