The police of Rajouri Garden Police Station in Delhi have arrested two vicious miscreants who used to come out of jail on the bell and steal the battery of cars during the lockdown. Due to the lockdown, people used to stay locked in homes and their car batteries were stolen.
40 stolen batteries recovered
The police team has seized 40 batteries from them. 4 stolen bikes and 2 scooters used in the incident have also been seized by the police.
According to the DCP, a team was formed under the supervision of ACP Rajouri Garden Ram Singh to trace the cause of frequent theft in the area. In this team, SHO Rajouri Garden Anil Kumar Sharma, Sub Inspector Arvind, Head Constable Vipin, Constable Shamsher, and Constable Sachin were deployed. The team managed to catch these miscreants. Several stolen bike-scooties were found on their spot and 40 batteries have also been recovered.
During interrogation, these miscreants told the police that both of them are intoxicated. In a crime, both of them were inside the jail. These people met each other after missing parole. After which they started stealing batteries of expensive cars to fulfill their addiction.
Apart from this, they also told that these people had also stolen scooters and bikes earlier to carry out the incident. With his arrest, the police have solved a dozen cases of battery theft.
