Robbery from jewelry showroom in Mohan Garden

In a jeweler’s showroom in Mohan Garden area on Thursday, two bike riding miscreants committed a day-long robbery and escaped. The accused also kept the DVR of CCTV cameras installed in the showroom on the go. 

After the miscreants left, the victim jeweler reported the matter to the Delhi Police. After which the Mohan Garden Police Station arrived and registered a case on the jeweler’s statement and started searching for the accused. It is currently interrogating people working in the showroom.  

A police officer said the victim jeweler Deepak Luthra, 43, lives with his family in the Vipin Garden area and runs a showroom Som Bazar under the name “Maa Durga Jeweler”. Deepak was present in his showroom at 12.15 pm on Thursday.

She was accompanied by artisan Suraj Verma in the showroom. At the same time, two youths on the bike reached there and entered the showroom. The accused pointed a pistol at Deepak and started putting the jewelery kept there in a bag. 

The accused filled 750 grams of gold jewelry, 15 kg of silver and Rs 1 lakh 32 thousand in cash bags kept in the showroom and started running from there. The accused also took off Deepak’s worn chain and Anguthi while leaving. 

The crooks also took gold weighing machines

The accused broke the DVR of the CCTV cameras installed in the showroom while absconding. So that they cannot be identified. Along with this, the accused also robbed the gold weighing machine kept in the shop.

After the accused left, Deepak informed the police. Mohan Garden police station reached the spot after information and started an investigation. During the investigation, police are trying to identify the miscreants by seizing footage of CCTV cameras installed in other shops near the showroom.
