Tried to snatch pistol from Delhi police constable arrested

A man from outer Delhi’s Shahabad Dairy area has been arrested for attempting to snatch a pistol from a policeman. The accused has been identified as Lalit Paswan. This incident was also captured in the video. In the video, the person can be seen arguing with a policeman and trying to snatch a pistol. 

Police said on Wednesday that the incident occurred on July 18 at 1 pm. Delhi Police Constable Kalicharan was patrolling the motorcycle in the slum area of ​​the Shahabad Dairy area. Meanwhile, he saw four to five people sitting on the vacant ground near the Panch temple.

The police said that the constable suspected that these people were involved in some illegal activity and informing them, they called the colleagues to the spot. When Constable Yogesh reached the spot, the suspects fled from there. However, one of them started quarreling with Kalicharan and was not letting him do his work. The accused has been identified as Lalit Paswan.

He said that Paswan seemed to be intoxicated and threatened the constable that he would harm himself and for this, he started snatching the pistol from the constable. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer Delhi) said that the accused has been arrested by registering a case in this regard.
