The miscreants escaped from the car after shooting a jeweler in West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar area on Monday evening for protesting against the robbery. The crooks were moving towards the central district. As soon as the district police got information about this, the policemen became alert. In the central district, the miscreants encountered policemen patrolling on motorcycles.
The miscreant hit his motorcycle with the car and entered a house. DCP was present in the district at the time of the incident. After information about the miscreants hiding in the house, DCP Sanjay Bhatia, along with other policemen, reached the spot and took the front from the miscreants. The miscreants opened fire on seeing the police. In response to this, the DCP and the accompanying policemen also fired back. Delhi Police later arrested three miscreants. Whereas, two crooks managed to escape.
The arrested accused have been identified as Sachin, Shahzad, and Anas. At present, the Patel Nagar police station is conducting raids in search of the absconding accused. The police officer said that at around 6:00 pm on Monday, five miscreants who came in a car in the Tilak Nagar area had gone to a jeweler’s shop for robbery.
Opposed the miscreants of jeweler Chand Chadha for attempting a robbery. Due to which a miscreant shot him in the stomach. People gathered around as soon as they heard the bullet. Seeing the crowd at the scene, the crook escaped in Patel’s car in a car without robbing.
On the other hand, people reported the incident to the jeweler of the police and immediately admitted to the hospital. After getting the number of the miscreants’ car from the wireless, police of all the districts were alerted.
Two policemen, who were patrolling on a motorcycle, tried to stop them when they saw the car riding miscreants in the Patel Nagar area. But the crooks started escaping after hitting the motorcycle. Meanwhile, intending to escape from the police, three Patel entered a house in the city. While two of his companions fled to another location. DCP Sanjay Bhatia of Central District was meeting with policemen at Patel Nagar police station at the time of the incident.
As soon as he got information about the incident, he immediately reached the spot. The DCP asks the miscreants to surrender. But the miscreants opened fire on the police. In response, the DCP and the policemen deployed under his protection also opened fire on the miscreants. On the other hand, police personnel surrounded the house in which the crooks were hiding.
Later, the miscreants tried to escape from the rear of the house to escape from the police. But they were caught by the policemen. DCP Sanjay Bhatia told that Sachin Najafgarh, Shahzad hails from Hapur and Anas Bahadurgarh in Uttar Pradesh. During interrogation, it has been found that the three crooks have been involved in many robbery incidents. The police are now on the lookout for the two miscreants absconding.
