Encounter in Shahdara district of Delhi

The encounter took place in the Shahdara district of Delhi. When they heard gunshots one after the other. When people came out, they saw the police on the spot.

Delhi Police caught a vicious miscreant in an encounter last night. During this, several rounds of bullets were fired between the police and the crook. Eventually, the police arrested the wanted fugitive crook in Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). Police recovered a pistol and live cartridges from the capture of the crook.

The encounter took place in the Shahdara district of Delhi. When people heard gunshots one after the other. When people came out, they saw the police on the spot. The captured crook has been identified as Shibu on the wanted Rashid side in MCOCA. According to the police, Rashid has about 25 cases of attempted murder and robbery.

Special staff of Shahdara district got information about Rashid late on Monday night. Police had received the news that Rashid Gandhi, involved in 25 cases and wanted under MCOCA, would go to Loni, Ghaziabad via Nagar Pushta Road late at night. After this, the police increased the patrolling in the area.

When the police saw Rashid alias Shibu riding on the bike, the police asked him to stop immediately but according to the police, Rashid opened fire on the police team and started trying to escape. In response, the police also opened fire. A bullet hit below the knee in Rashid’s leg and fell along with Rashid’s bike.

According to the police, Rashid fired 4 rounds, while in response the police fired 5 rounds. Police have recovered 18 live cartridges and a pistol from Rashid. According to the police, Rashid had fired four rounds at the police. Out of which 2 bullet were shot on bullet proof jacket of two police personnel. But no jawans were injured.
