A 500-bed COVID Hospital to be built in Faridabad on the lines of Delhi, waiting for approval from Chief Minister
In view of the ever-increasing cases of corona in Smart City Faridabad, a plan has been drawn up to build a 500-bed COVID Hospital on the lines of Delhi. A file has been sent to Chief Minister Manohar Lal for hospital approval.
Work on the plan will be started as soon as the approval is granted. The district administration and health department have started searching for the place. The number of corona cases in the city is increasing steadily. On Friday, 194 corona infections were confirmed by the health department.
The total number of infected has reached 3132. Of these, around 1400 patients have been discharged from the hospital after being cured, while around one thousand people were isolated at home. At the same time, COVID Hospital ESIC Medical College has the capacity to recruit 500 patients, which is now almost full of patients.
Although, in addition to the ESIC for the treatment of corona infected patients in the city, Gold Field Medical College and Alfalah Medical College have been created for COVID-19 patients at the government level, but they lack ICU and ventilator facilities.
From the administration, 25 percent of beds in eight private hospitals have been reserved for Corona patients. Treatment rates have also been fixed by the government so that patients can get their treatment easily here, but the increasing cases are a problem for the health department.
To deal with this, a 500-bed hospital is planned in Sector-12. In this hospital, high-level treatment facilities will be provided to the corona infected.
Faridabad Deputy Commissioner Yashpal Yadav said that in view of the increasing number of corona infected, a 500-bed hospital is planned in Sector-12. A file has been sent to the Chief Minister’s office for hospital approval. Work in this direction will be started as soon as the approval is received.
