According to the Delhi COVID Response Plan, it has been decided that Delhi will pursue its containment strategy in a time-bound manner. Containment zones will have to be reviewed and redesigned by 26 June.

In increasing cases of Coronavirus in Delhi, the Kejriwal government has prepared the Delhi COVID Response Plan. In view of the recommendations of Dr. VK Paul Committee, the Directorate General Health Services of Delhi Government has released the plan. There will be a screening of every house in the capital by July 6.
According to the plan, the serosurvey will start in Delhi from June 27, the results of which will be till July 10. This survey will be done in collaboration with the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Revised Corona Response Plan
- Strengthening surveillance team and oversight system at the district level
Currently, the District Task Force headed by DM monitors the container. According to the recommendations of the committee, to strengthen this team, now these people will also be included in it-
- DCP of Delhi Police
- DC of Nagar Nigam
- Currently present Epidemiologists in MCD
- District Surveillance Officer (DSO)
- Arogya Setu – IT Professional for ITIHAS Solution
- A faculty member of Cooperative Medical College who is associated with P&SM, Pre-Clinical Department and Pharmacology Departments
- Education / Youth Department (NCC, NSS, etc.)
At the same time, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will lead the State Task Force at the state level. Evaluation and preparation of a revised Containment Zoning Plan, which will have an adequate number of buffer zones as per the guidelines of the Union Ministry of Health.
Once a zone has been declared a container zone, it will have to strictly follow the rules and an active case search will be done inside the container zone. There will be a sufficient number of buffer zones around the Containment Zone.
Corona positive patient cases will be sent to the COVID-19 care center in densely populated areas. A sufficient team will be prepared for daily case searches, testing, and isolation. Control of the movement of people coming in and out of the border of the Contand area by the police.
Providing necessary services in the Containment Zone by the administration. Banning movement within the Containment Zone through CCTV and drone monitoring. Penalty for those who violate the rule.
Conducting rapid antigen tests inside the Containment Zone as per ICMR guidelines. RT-PCR test of highly suspected cases found to be negative in a rapid antigen test.
High risk and low-risk contacts will be defined based on the guidelines of the Union Ministry of Health. A dedicated team will be deployed in the DM office to make contact tracing effective. Which will include field teams to visit tele-callers and contacts to map contacts and quarantine high-risk contacts?
